Welcome to Sasha Talent !

Midwest Actors Lab

Ages 16+ | Drop-ins Welcome

Built for actors of all levels, business leaders, real estate professionals, and content creators alike, this is your weekly workout for mastering the lens. Step in front of the camera in our set-ready acting lab. Taught by a working director and producer, this class skips the abstract theory and focuses entirely on practical industry skills and unshakeable camera confidence.

This is a scalable workout designed for everyone. By applying specific "director's constraints" to the scripts, we tailor the difficulty in real-time. Whether you are a total beginner learning to hit a mark for the first time, or a seasoned pro looking to stay sharp and challenge your instincts, you will be pushed to grow.

What to expect every week:

While the core structure remains consistent, the scripts, drills, and genres rotate every single week.

We kick off with a targeted warm-up to break stiff habits and dial in your on-set energy. Next, we tackle a technical drill focused on camera mechanics; ranging from precise frame awareness and eyeline discipline, to seamless continuity in action. The core of the class is the on-camera work. You’ll tackle fresh cold reads (commercial and narrative), review your immediate playback on the monitor, receive actionable adjustments geared toward "acting for the edit," and shoot a refined second take.
